Married. Wife: Tatyana V. Kafanova, scientific researcher of the Pacific Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, born in 1948. Son: Dmitry, student of the Far East State University, born in 1970. Daughter: Elena, student of the Far East State University, born in 1979.
